Interested in volunteering but don't know where to turn?

Community Action supports a wide array of volunteer-based programs, including Volunteer Chore, Skagit Literacy, Volunteer Lawyer Program, Long-Term Care Ombudsman program, Mobile Food Express, Food Bank Distribution Center, and Harvest for Hope. The Skagit Volunteer Center coordinates volunteers both inside our agency as well as in the community. We are in partnership with close to 85 local organizations in Skagit County and our database of volunteer opportunities proves to be a valuable resource for those looking to serve their community.  Our volunteer center strives to:
  • Connect volunteers to opportunities through the Skagit Volunteer Center.
  • Enhance community services by providing local schools, state agencies, and non-profits with AmeriCorps members.
  • Provide professional education and technical assistance to volunteers and volunteer managers.
  • Promote volunteerism through partnerships with schools, congregations, civic organizations, businesses, and media.

Through our Skagit Volunteer Center, we can help you find a volunteer opportunity that best meets your schedule and interests. Please, contact us today!
